Mary O’Sullivan has over 30 years of experience in major industries and in business functions such as business development and subcontract management. In each of these roles she acted as a change agent, moving teams and individuals from status quo to higher levels of performance, through offering solutions focused on positive behavior change and fostering growth.

In her leadership and executive coaching, she focuses on improving the executive behaviors that slow down performance and inhibit growth, such as soft skills, communication, micro-bias awareness, etc. She has successfully helped other professionals, such as attorneys, surgeons, pharmacists, engineers, business owners and university professors, make career decisions to lead to success in their chosen careers.  In addition, small business owners have sought Mary’s services to bring their companies into greater alignment, working on their culture, vision, mission, values, and goals as well as organizational structure.

Mary T. O'Sullivan, Encore Executive Coaching

Mary T. O’Sullivan is an experienced Executive and Professional Coach, keynote speaker, columnist, and author specializing in supporting leaders in business, technology, medical, legal, and higher education seeking professional and personal growth.

Mary T. O’Sullivan holds a Master of Science, Organizational Leadership (MSOL), is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP), and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC). Mary holds a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching, University of Texas at Dallas, and has been awarded the ACTP certificate. In 2018, she achieved the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation by the ICF. Mary is also a certified Appreciative Inquiry Practitioner and is certified in EQI-2.0 and EQ 360 Assessments.  During her graduate education, she was nominated by her professors and admitted to Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honor Society. Additionally, Mary completed Advanced Studies in Education from Montclair University, SUNY Oswego and Syracuse University. Through her corporate experience, Mary has become a Certified Six Sigma Specialist, Contract Specialist, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader. She also holds a Certificate in Essentials of Human Resource Management from SHRM.

Mary is the veteran of four major careers, spanning over 40 years. She has over 30 years experience in the aerospace and defense industry. In each of her many roles at General Electric, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon, she acted as a change agent, moving teams and individuals from status quo to new ways of thinking, through offering solutions focused on changing behaviors and fostering growth.

In her early career, Mary taught high school English for 10 years in the Syracuse, NY area and holds a permanent teaching certificate in the State of New York for secondary education. Mary was also a successful salesperson for Thomas Publishing,  a manufacturing sourcing directory, now known as Thomas.com.

Mary is the founder of Encore Executive and Executive Coaching, and the author of many newspaper and magazine articles and the books, and The Leader You Don’t Want to Be.

Mary lives in Kingston, Rhode Island with her husband and two lovable labs, Onyx and Bonnie.
